U.S. Figure Skating Registration Fee

All Home Club Members must pay a U.S. Figure Skating annual registration fee at the time of their membership application or renewal. The U.S. Figure Skating registration period runs from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017. The first family member’s registration fee is $60.00; subsequent family members in the same household are offered a discounted rate of $24.00. U.S. Figure Skating membership includes a subscription to Skating magazine as well as a membership card.

Remember: If you are a new member, the USFS fee is $30; subsequent member fee is $24.

Testing and Skating Levels

While the Bear Mountain FSC is primarily a recreational organization, we encourage members whose interest goes beyond just fun to participate in the U.S. Figure Skating testing process as well as local, sectional and national skating events. Our status as a U.S. Figure Skating member club provides each member the opportunity to participate in tests, competitions and exhibitions.

If you choose to take the competitive skater route, you are required to participate in the testing process and will eventually compete in qualifying competitions. If you choose the recreational skater route, you can also participate in the testing process - challenging your skills and increasing your expertise, but are not required to compete.

To learn more about the various tests and skating levels, visit the US Figure Skating site.
